Grammar school data, properly analysed.
We sit on the admissions rules, catchments and official results of every grammar school in England. This is where we dig into that data — clear charts, honest caveats, and findings that actually help you choose.
Analysis & deep dives.
Original research on how grammar admissions and outcomes actually relate — built from the data we hold on every school, with clear charts and honest caveats.
Which grammar schools are rising — and which are sliding?
Four years of GCSE national rankings for every grammar in England. Most hold steady, but some climbed hundreds of places, others fell off a cliff — and there’s a clear regional tilt.
Where grammar test systems stack — the best places to live
Each 11-plus system is a separate shot at a place. We mapped where the most overlap — one corner of north-west Kent reaches six systems and fifteen grammars, split for sons and daughters.
Do grammar schools that select on test score get better results?
We joined the admissions rule of all 163 grammar schools to their DfE results. Score-ranked schools beat distance-ranked ones — and the gap survives even after adjusting for intake.
More analysis coming — catchment crowding, distance cut-off trends and oversubscription pressure.
