Grammar catchments, the way they're actually drawn.
Other school finders draw a circle and call it a catchment. Grammar admissions don't always work that way. Where applicable, GrammarBound maps the real layered geometry of every grammar school we map across England — postcode districts, parishes, district boundaries and graded priority bands.
Tools built around the real catchments.
Get the geography right and eligibility, distance, tiers and commute analysis finally become useful.

What you get, free and Pro
GrammarBound maps the real catchment areas of all 163 grammar schools in England and helps parents work out where they stand. Plain-English admissions guides, Ofsted and results data, and a basic postcode eligibility check are free; seeing the full catchment boundaries on the map and the deeper planning tools are part of Pro.
Real, layered catchment maps Pro
Most school finders draw a circle around a school and call it a catchment. Grammar admissions rarely work that way. GrammarBound maps the actual published geometry — civil parishes, electoral wards, postcode districts, council-drawn designated areas and fixed-mile radii — and, for distance-admitting schools, the latest distance offered. Seeing exactly where each boundary runs is a Pro feature; on the free tier the boundaries show as a placeholder while your eligibility result is still given.
Postcode eligibility check Free
Drop a pin or enter a postcode and GrammarBound tells you which grammars you may be eligible for and your straight-line distance to each — free, whether a school admits by defined area, by distance, or purely on test score. Pro adds the precise boundary view and the tier classification.
Distance, commute and tier analysis Pro
Pro estimates walking, driving and public-transport commute times to each school, and classifies every school as Priority, Open or Needs-info for your child against the published criteria. Where a school admits by distance, it surfaces the most recent “last distance offered” so you can judge how tight the cut-off is.
School performance and plain-English guides Free
Every school carries its Ofsted grade, GCSE and A-level results with national ranks, and post-16 destinations — alongside a plain-English admissions guide that rewrites the school’s official Admission Arrangements into something a parent can actually use. All of this is free, and every grammar school in England (163 of 163) has a guide.
