Grammar catchments, the way they're actually drawn.
Other school finders draw a circle and call it a catchment. Grammar admissions don't always work that way. Where applicable, GrammarBound maps the real layered geometry of every grammar school we map across England — postcode districts, parishes, district boundaries and graded priority bands.
Tools built around the real catchments.
Get the geography right and eligibility, distance, tiers and commute analysis finally become useful. Everything below is part of Pro — £25 one-off, or £10 a month.
Don't take our word for it — read a full report.
Pro gathers every check for an address into one print-ready report: which grammars you're eligible for, where you'd hold admissions priority, last-round distance cut-offs, commute times and each school's results — sorted into four plain-English groups.
Take it to viewings, share it with family, or file it with your application notes. This is exactly what you get — browse a complete sample below.
The sample uses a real example postcode with example child settings — your report is built for your address and your child.

What you get, free and Pro
GrammarBound maps the real catchment areas of all 163 grammar schools in England and helps parents work out where they stand. Plain-English admissions guides, Ofsted and results data, and a headline eligibility count for any postcode are free; the school-by-school eligibility card, full catchment boundaries and the deeper planning tools are part of Pro.
Real, layered catchment maps Pro
Most school finders draw a circle around a school and call it a catchment. Grammar admissions rarely work that way. GrammarBound maps the actual published geometry — civil parishes, electoral wards, postcode districts, council-drawn designated areas and fixed-mile radii — and, for distance-admitting schools, the latest distance offered. Seeing exactly where each boundary runs is a Pro feature; on the free tier the boundaries show as a placeholder while your eligibility result is still given.
Postcode eligibility check Pro
Drop a pin or enter a postcode and GrammarBound builds a school-by-school eligibility card — which grammars the address qualifies for, whether each admits by defined area, distance or test score, and where you'd hold admissions priority. On the free tier you see the headline numbers — how many schools the address reaches; the full school-by-school breakdown is Pro.
Distance, commute and tier analysis Pro
Pro estimates walking, driving and public-transport commute times to each school, and classifies every school as Priority, Open or Needs-info for your child against the published criteria. Where a school admits by distance, it surfaces the most recent “last distance offered” so you can judge how tight the cut-off is.
